What this covers
This policy explains what personal information Goose Vintage ("Goose Vintage") collects through goosevtg.com, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email, phone number if you give it, shipping and billing address, the items you bought and your order history. Payment card details are entered into Stripe's secure fields and go directly to Stripe; we only see the card brand, last four digits and payment status. When you contact us or sign up for emails: your name, email and message. When you browse: basic technical information such as your device, browser and pages viewed, kept by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and to keep the Site running. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites. Your bag, and the details you type at checkout so you don't have to type them twice, are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers.
How we use it
To process, ship and support your order; to send order confirmations and shipping updates; to answer messages; to prevent fraud and abuse; to keep accounting and tax records; and, only if you opt in, to send you emails about new drops and Gooselist updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the shop: Stripe (payments and fraud prevention), Shippo and the shipping carriers (to check your address, buy the label and deliver your order), Cloudflare and our database provider (hosting), and our email provider (order and shipping emails). They may only use your information to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and storage needed to run the Site, such as remembering your bag and keeping checkout secure. Stripe sets its own cookies during payment to prevent fraud. If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally up to 7 years). Messages and email sign-ups are kept until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing, by emailing support@goosevtg.com. Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states with privacy laws, or the UK and EU), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for using your rights. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, keep payment data with Stripe, and limit who can access order information. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think something is wrong.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
