Who we are
goosevtg.com (the "Site") is run by Goose Vintage ("Goose Vintage", "we", "us"), 15 Brookside Road, Madison, CT 06443. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Age
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. If you're younger, a parent or guardian must place the order and agree to these Terms.
One of one
Almost everything we sell is a single, pre-owned or vintage piece. There is one of each item. Pieces are also listed on other marketplaces such as eBay, Poshmark, Grailed, Vinted and Depop, and can sell there at any moment. An item being in your bag does not reserve it. We hold an item for you only while you are on the payment step of checkout (up to 30 minutes).
Descriptions, condition and sizing
Vintage and pre-owned items show wear. We describe and photograph flaws we find, but small marks, fading, pilling, odors or wear we miss may exist and are part of buying used clothing. Colors vary between screens. Tag sizes on vintage clothing often don't match today's sizing, so check the measurements in each listing and compare them with something you own. Background-removed product images are edited only to remove the background; the real photos are always shown in the listing.
Brands and authenticity
Brand names, logos and trademarks on the items we sell belong to their owners. Goose Vintage is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any brand we sell. We buy and inspect every item and only sell items we believe are genuine. If you can show us that an item you bought from us is not genuine, we will refund it in full, including shipping.
Prices and errors
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where it applies. We try hard to get every price and description right; if we make a clear error (for example a misplaced decimal point), we may cancel the order and refund you in full before it ships, even after you've received a confirmation.
Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship it. We may refuse or cancel any order, including when an item sold elsewhere at the same moment, when we can't verify payment, or when we suspect fraud or resale abuse. If we cancel, you receive a full refund to your original payment method.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. We may request extra verification for some orders.
Shipping and risk of loss
Shipping times, costs and lost-package handling are explained in our Shipping Policy, which is part of these Terms. Title to an item passes to you when we hand it to the carrier. If a package is lost before tracking shows it as delivered, we'll work with you and the carrier as described in the Shipping Policy.
Returns and refunds
All sales are final, except as described in our Returns and Refunds Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong with your order, please contact us first; we answer quickly and want to fix it. Filing a chargeback for an order that was delivered as described may result in us disputing it with evidence from the order and tracking, and in us declining future orders.
Your account and content
You don't need an account to buy. If you send us messages, photos or reviews, you give us permission to use them to answer you and to run the shop. Don't send anything unlawful or anything that isn't yours to share.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Site: no scraping or automated buying, no attempts to break security, no interfering with other shoppers, and no using the Site for anything illegal.
Our content
Our photos, text, logos (including the Goose Vintage goose emblem and wordmarks) and site design belong to us. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy our photos or descriptions for your own listings or other commercial use without written permission.
Gooselist
Gooselist, our Chrome extension for resellers, is provided "as is" under its own privacy policy. You're responsible for how you use it and for following the rules of each marketplace.
Disclaimers
Except where the law does not allow it, the Site and everything sold on it are provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because you broke these Terms or misused the Site.
Disputes
If you have a problem, email support@goosevtg.com first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court. Any other dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in New Haven County, Connecticut, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
